Housing with Moxy's apartments are not approved for housing BYU single undergraduate students. We have chosen to fill a different niche. However, we have some tips to help BYU students find it.
Start looking early, the only harm in searching for housing too early is that there may not be any vacancies posted yet.
For Fall semester, start looking by the beginning of April.
For Winter Semester, start looking by the beginning of October.
For Spring/Summer semester, start looking by the beginning of February.
Don't be discouraged if there are few listings when you start looking early. Begining your search early gives more options, more time to decide which option to take, and the opportunity to secure a deal on housing rather being left with whatever is left. However, many landlords may not post their upcoming vacancies until they have given their current renters a chance to renew, sometimes as late as 30 days before the space becomes available.
Pay attention to preferred methods of contact if provided in the listing. If you get an answering machine when calling, leave a voicemail and send a text unless the listing specifies otherwise. If a landlord does not have anything available when you call, politely inquire when they will know their vacancies, when you should check back and whether they have a waiting list or a way you can apply now. It is better to do more research and find more vacancies to call on, than to call the same companies repeatedly.
The first and best place to look for housing is http://och.byu.edu/. It is useful to use the favorites flag to mark when you have called on a vacancy. You should also see the Off Campus Housing Guide. You can get a copy of the BYU housing guide from the Off Campus Housing office, the information desk in the Wilkinson Center, or various places around campus.
Other sites are less likely to have approved housing, but may have listings from students advertising a contract for housing they are trying to leave:

If you already live in a Provo singles ward, check if your ward has a housing specialist or encourage your bishopric to call one. If you have exhausted other options, consider using singles' ward contact information on maps.lds.org to ask about potential vacancies in wards surrounding campus.
When applying for housing, be certain to fill in the application completely and honestly.
Before signing a contract
- Check that the housing is byu approved by visiting https://home.byu.edu/och/residentialAddress.htm or calling 801-422-1513
- Read your contract completely and make sure you know what it means, ask your landlord if you have any questions
- Confirm that the address and unit number on the contract matches the unit you have seen and expect to rent
- If you are not available to see the apartment yourself, send a friend or family member you trust to check it out for you.
- Have a friend or family member you trust read the contract as well and discuss it with them.
After signing the contract
- Make sure you have a copy signed by the landlord and keep it in a safe place.
When moving in
- Take pictures of the property and take notes of it's condition, even if the landlord does not require it.
